Initial Metabolic Evaluation

Meet with a licensed HWP provider through secure telehealth. Your provider will review your:

Clinical Screening and Laboratory Review

Your provider will review recent verified laboratory results or order testing when clinically necessary.
Bloodwork does not need to be completed during the telehealth appointment. Laboratory orders can be sent electronically, and patients may complete testing at a convenient local laboratory.
Not every patient requires the same laboratory panel. The provider will determine which tests are appropriate based on the patient’s medical history, medications, symptoms, and treatment plan.
An in-person examination may be required when clinically indicated.

Individualized Treatment Plan

Following the evaluation, the provider will determine whether the patient is eligible for the program and recommend an individualized treatment plan.

Ongoing Monitoring and Support

The HWP care team monitors treatment response, tolerability, adherence, safety, and progress.
Medication continuation and dose decisions are based on the patient’s documented clinical condition—not a predetermined or automatic schedule.

GLP-1 Medication Management

GLP-1 or GIP/GLP-1 therapy may be one treatment option.

When clinically appropriate, a licensed provider may prescribe an FDA-approved medication. Medication selection depends on:

Before authorizing medication continuation or a dose increase, the prescribing provider will conduct and document a medication-management review addressing:

What Is Not Included

Program fees do not include:

Medication is purchased separately from the dispensing pharmacy.

Commercial Insurance

For commercially insured patients, HWP will submit eligible, medically necessary covered clinical services when required by its payer agreements.

Patients remain responsible for applicable:

Verification of eligibility, benefits, or prior authorization is not a guarantee of insurance coverage or payment.

HWP will not bill insurance and charge the patient separately for the same covered service.

Can the program be completed through telehealth?
Most program visits can be completed through secure telehealth. Laboratory testing can be ordered electronically and completed at a convenient local laboratory. An in-person examination will be required when clinically indicated.
No. Enrollment and payment do not guarantee a prescription. A licensed provider must determine that medication is clinically appropriate and safe.
